Warranty Details & Procedures

Missouri Wind and Solar provides a limited 12 month limited warranty on Missouri Wind and Solar produced wind turbines, with the exception of the motor (see details under the Permanent Magnet Generators and Permanent Magnet Alternators heading).

Wind Turbine Blades

Terms and conditions for wind turbine blade warranty:

Missouri Wind and Solar provides a limited 12 month limited warranty on Missouri Wind and Solar Raptor and Falcon wind turbine blades if they break under normal use, provided that the wind turbine blades are used with hubs sold by Missouri Wind and Solar. 12 month warranty begins at date of purchase and is non-transferable.

Warranty does not apply to:

  • Tower fall
  • Over-tightening of bolts
  • Strike from flying debris from extreme wind, tornado or hurricanes, or falling trees
  • Tower strike

Wind turbines should be lowered in extreme wind and storm conditions to prevent damage.

Blade damage due to above circumstances will void warranty.

Buyer is responsible for shipping costs.  All broken blades must be returned to Missouri Wind and Solar for replacement, including proof of purchase at the expense of the owner.

Permanent Magnet Generators (PMG) and Permanent Magnet Alternators (PMA)

Missouri Wind and Solar provides a 90 day limited warranty on all permanent magnet generators (PMGs) and permanent magnet alternators (PMAs) purchased directly from Missouri Wind and Solar.  Warranty covers workmanship and manufacturer defects.  90 day warranty begins at date of purchase and is non-transferable.

Customer is responsible for all shipping costs and must provide proof for purchase.

Warranty does not apply to: 

  • Damage from marine use and/or saltwater environments
  • Corrosion due to saltwater air
  • Misuse
  • Faulty installation
  • Application outside manufacturer recommendations

Changes or alterations made to the PMG void the warranty.  Wind turbines should be lowered in extreme wind and storm conditions to prevent damage.

Procedures for Warranty Repairs:

OBTAIN AN RMA #

1. All repairs must have an RMA number for processing. Call 417-708-5359 ext 101 to obtain an RMA.

2. Packages without an RMA number on the outside of the package may not be accepted.

RETURN PACKAGING – Repack the product in its original packaging, if available, or in similar packaging. The RMA number must be clearly marked on the outside box / package.

Missouri Wind and Solar, LLC is not responsible for products that are damaged due to poor packaging or lost shipments. Remember to keep your Tracking Number.
